In a market overflowing with psychedelic tie-dyes and mushroom illustrations, Alma Brand required a distinct identity that would set them apart from current trends. The solution lay in crafting an authentic and approachable brand identity with a uniquely human touch.

The brand's earliest inspiration stems from the Mayan god, Xochipilli, also known as the god of souls and flowers. Alma, translates to “soul” in Spanish. When used in context, it refers to the innermost essence of a person, representing their emotions, feelings, and deepest self. Additionally, the flexible flower icon pays homage to the psychedelic emblem found on Xochipilli's knee.

Rooted in these meaningful references, Alma Brand’s consumer facing identity weaves together California inspired imagery, bold and organic shapes, and a subtle vintage demeanor that provides the costumer with an authentic and refreshing experience.
